Profile: Dr. Ramsammy owns and operates a state-of-the-art primary care center in Freeport, New York. He completed his undergraduate training with a Bachelor of Science degree at Stony Brook Universtiy. He then completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology and received a degree of Doctor of Medicine at St. George's University in Grenada. He is currently on staff as a clinical professor at Hofstra University Medical School/North Shore LIJ and also serves at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, NY.
Dr. Ramsammy believes in empowering his patients through education of their disease processes, and he attempts to use the least amount of medications possible to gain control over their ailments. He approaches each patient as an individual and tailors their treatment accordingly.
Through the application of modern technology and electronic medical records, he has managed to create a highly efficient primary care practice that allows the physician to spend more time with each patient. We at MedCA are proud to have Dr. Ramsammy on our advisory board. We consult with him on many issues and find him to be extremely knowledgeable and detail-oriented. Even though Dr. Ramsammy is very busy with his practice, he always makes time to meet with us to discuss these issues.
